Pietersite was discovered by Sid Pieters in 1962 in Namibia, Africa, and the material was named pietersite. Pietersite is considered a type of tiger's eye. Also found in China. Its fibrous structure has been folded, stressed, even fractured via geologic processes. and naturally recemented together creating a finished product with multiple colors, hues and superb chatoyancy
