100 millions years ago, in tropical forests, huge trees were growing and flourishing.
Then the climate changed and the trees died and felt in a swamp area. The watery mud covering the trees was rich in minerals and when the water dried up, those minerals filled the wood which became petrified. The minerals have replaced the wood, in the shape, form and colors.
This wood slice is as it looked millions of years ago.
